Cancellations

For villas in Indonesia, Thailand and Sri Lanka, in the event that the Guest cancels a confirmed booking, the following cancellation fees will generally apply:

  • 20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 60 days before the start of the rental period
  • 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 30 and 60 days before the start of the rental period
  • 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 29 days before the start of the rental period
  • For no-show: 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited

For chalets in Japan, in the event that the Guest cancels a confirmed booking, the following cancellation fees will generally apply:

  • 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 60 days before the start of the rental period
  • 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 59 days before the start of the rental period
  • For no-show: 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited

The applicable amount will be deducted from the deposit and moneys paid, and EH will refund any remaining balance to the Guest.

For villas in the Maldives, in the event that the Guest cancels a confirmed booking, the following cancellation fees will generally apply:

For confirmed bookings for all periods except Festive season (20th December – 10th January):

  • 25% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made 31 days or more before the start of the rental period
  • 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 16 days and 30 days before the start of the rental period
  • 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 15 days before the start of the rental period
  • For no-show: 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited and one-way transfer charge will be taken

For confirmed bookings over Festive season (20th December – 10th January):

  • 12.5% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made 90 days or more before the start of the rental period
  • 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 89 days before the start of the rental period
  • For no-show: 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited and one-way transfer charge will be taken

For villas in India, in the event that the Guest cancels a confirmed booking, the following cancellation fees will generally apply:

  • 20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 75 days before the start of the rental period
  • 60% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 46 and 75 days before the start of the rental period
  • 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is within 45 days before the start of the rental period
  • For no-show: 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited
